What is Economics?: A brand-new video series
Think you know what economics is? Think again.
Economics is a term that gets thrown around a lot and one that many people associate with being related to wealth, the stock market or the economy, but in reality it is so much more than that. In fact, nearly everything in the modern world exists as a result of economics.
So, do you actually know what economics is?
Don’t panic if you’re now unsure! Take a look at our video series, in partnership with Springpod, answering this very question. Dr Marianna Koli, Head of Economics at Northeastern University London, will take you through the ins and outs of economics, starting with what it really means. She will also cover the reasons behind global inequality, misconceptions about rich and poor countries, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy, whilst considering the overarching question: why are some countries poor?
