Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The university is deeply saddened by the news of the death of Her Majesty the Queen. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this very sad time.

As the UK’s longest reigning monarch, Her Majesty committed a lifetime of service to our nation and commonwealth, as patron to countless charities and head of the Church of England.

The Government will issue further guidance and information shortly. Events scheduled to take place on and off campus on the days leading up to Her Majesty’s funeral may be affected and further announcements will be made in due course. Teaching at the university continues as normal. 

At this moment of great national sadness, we hope you will use this time to seek comfort with your friends and families, as we all remember Her Majesty the Queen in our own way.
