Apprenticeship Funding Awarded to NU London by the Office for Students

NU London | March 26, 2024

Further to the £221,856 we were awarded in the first wave of apprenticeship investment from the Office for Students in January 2024, we are pleased to announce we have now been awarded an additional £684,836 as part of the second wave of their apprenticeship investment which totaled £14 million across 32 universities and colleges. This funding will allow us to continue to expand our provision of Level 6 Degree Apprenticeships across the 2024/2025 academic years.

In addition to our current apprenticeship offering, we will be developing programmes for Clinical Trials Specialist, Accounting Finance Manager, Social Researcher, Transport Planner, and Retail Leader apprenticeship standards.

This expansion of our NU London apprenticeship portfolio is a natural progression aligning with our overall strategic growth priorities as an institution, as well as our faculty expertise in technological innovation. These programmes will have a continued through line of digital transformation uniquely qualifying us to meet the most pressing skills gaps that employers face across these industries.

A key feature of our expanded degree apprenticeship offering will be prioritising student support to ensure individuals from all backgrounds have access to these fantastic higher education opportunities. We look forward to engaging with schools & colleges to deliver information sessions about degree apprenticeships, and provide helpful educational resources to increase young people’s awareness and knowledge about this learning pathway.

If you are interested in booking a NU London representative to speak at your school or college about degree apprenticeships, please email apprenticeships@nulondon.ac.uk.

This funding will also allow us to expand the recruitment support services we can provide to employer partners. Our NU London team is available to:

  • Provide guidance about how to set-up an apprenticeship scheme
  • Support organisations in resourcing qualified apprenticeship candidates
  • Consult with employers to maximise the apprenticeship levy to support your organisational goals

If you are an employer and would like to connect about any of the above, or register your general interest about our new apprenticeship programmes developing across 2024/ 2025, you can book a complimentary 1:1 consultation call here. Alternatively, you can email apprenticeships@nulondon.ac.uk
