Outreach Activities

We offer a range of different taster lectures and workshops that we can either bring to your school or you can come to our campus!

Visits to schools:

We would love to visit your school to deliver a talk, workshop or attend your HE and Careers Fairs. Our talks and workshops include: personal statement and essay workshops, student finance and budgeting games and a range of academic taster sessions.

We are also passionate about engaging parents in the process to apply to university so we can deliver a range of sessions at parents evenings including the university application process and student finance.

Campus visits:

We have the exciting opportunity for teachers to bring a group of students to our modern, central London campus through our Discover Days. Students will have the chance to explore our campus, take part in exciting interactive sessions and find out what it’s like to study at university.

Our Discover Days are designed for students in years 10-13, but if you would like to bring another year group, do not hesitate to get in contact with us.

How to contact us:

To see our full list of subject tasters and workshops please see this poster. If you have any questions or would like to express interest in a campus or school visit, please don’t hesitate to contact our widening participation team.

Other programmes we offer:

We collaborate with IntoUniversity to run programmes with learners from underrepresented backgrounds to bring about positive, measurable change in young learners through various programmes such as the Buddy programme for year 8 students and the Primary FOCUS programme for children in years 3 to year 6.

We also partner with the coaching organisation Innerscope, we offer 2-to-1 coaching sessions over five weeks to students in KS3&4. Students are introduced to several personal development topics to help reframe their mindset through goal setting, building resilience and raising self-belief. The programme ends with a visit to our campus so that the students can explore the university for themselves. To run this programme at your school, get in touch with the widening participation team as soon as possible.
