Principles of Management

15 Credits

This course explores how the principles of management have evolved over time from the industrial era, to the rise of modern social psychological approaches. Traditionally the principles of management have been focused on planning, organising, leading, and controlling (POLC). However, as the nature and structure of businesses change so do the requirements of management.  Learners will have the opportunity to apply critical thinking to topics relating to globalization, technological innovation, new workforce arrangements, social responsibility, managerial ethics and diversity in organisations.
