Social activities

From clubs and societies to creative workshops and themed socials, there’s a whole host of activities on and around campus to get involved in

Your university journey isn’t just about studying. The activities you get involved in will shape and enrich your whole university experience. It’s part of our unique approach to building a fun, supportive and inclusive community, creating memories and relationships to last a lifetime.

Events

A lively calendar of organised events taking place all year round on our campus, in our accommodation, and throughout London’s historical cultural landmarks, provides students with an exciting array of activities to get involved in. From national and international awareness days to themed socials and creative workshops, there’s always something new and exciting to explore.

Clubs and societies

Whether art appreciation or Taylor Swift is your passion, our student-run clubs and societies connect like-minded people and foster a sense of belonging and connection among our students. You can explore new interests, cultivate meaningful relationships, and collaborate on exciting projects. And if there isn’t a club or society that covers your own special interest, you can create your own. Learn more here.

Sport and fitness

The Students’ Union has a whole host of sports clubs to get involved in, from bouldering to badminton. Some of our student accommodation halls have onsite gym facilities. There is also a wide choice of gyms around our campus that offer reduced membership fees for students.

London offers a host of opportunities to get involved in team sports at every level. From football, hockey, and tennis to ultimate frisbee, softball, and tag-rugby, you’ll be spoilt for choice, whether you want to take part in friendly knockabouts in London’s beautiful parks, or serious national league competitions. More information on sports centres can be found here.

Student voice

The student voice is a key priority in the university. It ensures student input into all areas of the university’s activity, and supports the creation of a strong learning community. You will have numerous opportunities to reflect formally and informally on your experience as a student at the university, giving us a crucial insight into how what we do impacts on your learning experience, and informing how we develop and enhance our academic programmes and academic and pastoral support for the benefit of everyone.
