The way we teach
Highly personalised teaching is at the heart of the university’s academic philosophy. The teaching is designed to foster an intellectually engaging atmosphere, in which all students feel comfortable sharing ideas and asking questions.
Independent study
All our master’s courses equip you with the skills to undertake your own substantial piece of original research: the dissertation. You will be allocated a dedicated academic supervisor, who will be on-hand to guide you through the process of writing your dissertation. You will develop your ideas through independent research and one-to-one dissertation supervisions. In the supervisions, your academic supervisor will work with you on a one-to-one basis to question, clarify and extend your arguments to enable you to reach your full potential.
Other lectures
Master’s students may also audit undergraduate lectures in others subjects by prior arrangement with the lecturer.
