If you are an Undergraduate student, please click here to see what Residence Halls and Room Types are available to you.

Housing applications via StarRez
With your housing application, you have the opportunity to personally select your Residence Hall and Room Type. You will begin by selecting the Residence Hall where you wish to live. Once you make this selection, you will not have the option to go back and choose a different Residence Hall. Therefore, it’s important to decide on the contract you want before starting your application.
After choosing your Residence Hall, you can select a Room from the options available in our system. Please note that if a specific Room Type is no longer displayed, it means it is fully booked, and you will need to choose a different Room Type or building.
Please note that all room assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you add your chosen room to your ‘cart,’ you will be able to continue completing your application. This process ensures you have control over selecting your ideal living arrangement, provided it is still available at the time of your selection.
When securing housing with NU London, you are responsible for both the Tenancy Deposit and your Rent.
Your Tenancy Deposit is equivalent to 5 weeks’ rent. You can calculate the deposit by multiplying the Weekly Rate of your selected Room Type by 5, or you can refer to your contract for the exact amount once your booking is confirmed. Please be aware that if the deposit is not processed within 10 business days, your application may be subject to cancellation.
For your Rent, you have the flexibility to choose between two payment schedules: Full (the total payment) or 5 Monthly instalments (January-May).
How to Make Your Payment(s):
When paying for your housing, you can choose from three payment options:
1. Monthly Payment Plan via Direct Debit
2. Termly Payment Plan using Bank Account Details
3. International Payment through TransferMate
To apply for a room in one of our Residence Halls, you need to log in to our Housing Portal. You must first create your StarRez account to make sure that you have full access to our Housing Portal. You can create your StarRez account now, but please note that housing applications will not open until Friday, December 6th.
Once your StarRez account has been created, you will receive an email with a link to reset your password and complete your registration. Please note that your username should be your email address.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, the Tenancy Deposit is refundable at the end of your tenancy, provided there is no damage to your room and no maintenance concerns. It cannot be returned before your contract ends, as a staff member needs to inspect your room for any issues.
No, there is no meal plan provided. In London, each student apartment will have a kitchen, including a mini fridge and stove top, so students are expected to prepare their own meals. This is a common aspect of the UK university experience.
When you arrive at your Residence Hall, you will receive both a bedding pack and a kitchen pack to help you settle in comfortably.
The bedding pack contains essential items, including a duvet with its cover, a fitted sheet, pillows, and pillowcases, ensuring you have everything you need for a good night’s sleep.
The kitchen pack is designed to provide you with basic cooking essentials and includes a pot, a pan, a mug, plates, a bowl, cutlery, and cooking utensils like a spatula.
Please note that you will need to purchase your own towel and any additional personal items you wish to have during your stay. This allows you to customize your living space according to your preferences and needs.
