Why study Law in London

In their first year, students will visit an array of courts according to the court hierarchy of the English Legal System. These include a Magistrates’ Court (City of London or Westminster), the Central London County Court, the Inner London Crown Court, the Court of Appeal, the Administrative Court at the Royal Courts of Justice, the Old Bailey and the UK Supreme Court at the RCJ and are all within half an hour on either the bus or tube from Northeastern University London.

Students will visit the area of Temple where barristers are called to the English Bar, as well as law firms in the City of London. In the past, students have been given an exclusive tour of Inner Temple through the connections of Ursula Smartt, Lecturer and Careers Counsellor (Law) at Northeastern University London and have had the opportunity to meet solicitors visiting Northeastern University London and at their firms.

The location of Northeastern University London in the heart of London allows students to frequently attend networking events and other schemes by both law firms and chambers.
